Glow Deeper. Hydrate Naturally. Microdroplet Precision.
SkinVive by Juvéderm is the first and only FDA-approved microdroplet injectable hyaluronic acid designed to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and radiance—not volume. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that shape or lift, SkinVive works within the skin itself to restore its internal hydration network and improve light reflection, giving patients a smooth, dewy finish that lasts for months.
At Spectrum Skin Clinic, SkinVive is part of our non-invasive skin wellness protocol for patients who want visible radiance without altering facial structure.
What Is SkinVive and How Does It Work?
SkinVive uses a low-viscosity, crosslinked hyaluronic acid that is injected in tiny microdroplets just beneath the skin’s surface, particularly in the cheeks. It’s not placed deep like traditional fillers—instead, it sits in the dermal plane to attract water, increase plumpness, and smooth fine crepiness.
The hyaluronic acid in SkinVive draws moisture into the skin gradually over time. What you get isn’t volume—it’s a hydrated glow and supple feel, similar to the results achieved with skin boosters in Europe and Asia.

What Concerns Can SkinVive Address?
SkinVive is best suited for treating:
- Dull or dehydrated skin
- Fine lines and early crepiness in the cheeks
- Uneven texture or “tired-looking” skin
- Loss of radiance and hydration due to age or sun exposure
- Pre-event skin prep for a smooth, light-reflective finish

Who Is It For?
SkinVive is ideal for:
- Adults in their 20s to 50s seeking subtle skin enhancement
- Patients who want natural, injectable skincare—not structural filler
- Individuals with thin, dry, or sun-damaged skin
- Patients hesitant to try traditional filler but looking for a “soft-glow” result
- All skin types, including those prone to sensitivity or PIH (with appropriate care)
This treatment is especially popular with patients familiar with the “glass skin” trend, or those who use microneedling or lasers for skin tone and want a complementary moisture-based therapy.

What to Expect During Treatment
SkinVive is delivered using a fine needle or cannula, injecting microdroplets across the cheeks or other designated areas in a fanning pattern. A full-face treatment typically takes 20–30 minutes. Numbing cream may be used for comfort, although most patients tolerate the treatment well.
Unlike traditional filler, there is no structural reshaping or deep placement—SkinVive stays within the dermis for targeted hydration.

Recovery & Results
Downtime is minimal. You may experience:
- Mild swelling or small injection bumps for 24–48 hours
- Possible light bruising, which resolves quickly
- A hydrated, glowing appearance beginning at 5–7 days post-injection
Results continue to improve over 2–3 weeks as water is drawn into the skin. The glow can last up to 6 months, though many patients return seasonally to maintain radiance.

Recommended Protocol
- Single treatment for most patients, results lasting 4–6 months
- Can be repeated 2–3 times per year for ongoing hydration support
- Complements skincare, laser, and microneedling treatments
- Safe to combine with other injectables (toxins or filler) on the same day with appropriate planning

Combination Therapies
SkinVive is frequently paired with:
- HydraFacial for surface glow and pore clearing
- Microneedling + Exosomes for collagen stimulation + hydration
- Xeomin or Botox to relax expression lines while SkinVive improves tone
- Rejuran or Skin Boosters for barrier recovery and pigment control
- Chemical peels or light lasers to reset skin tone before SkinVive integration
