Deep vertical lines around the upper lip — sometimes called smoker lines — were the main concern in this case. The cutaneous lip showed strong etched texture and visible aging changes that lipstick and surface skincare could not soften.
CO2 Laser Resurfacing was chosen to address both the depth of the perioral lines and the overall texture of the surrounding skin. Results from CO2 laser build in gradually as the skin remodels, and a single session can produce visible change while ongoing improvement continues over a treatment series.
After treatment, the vertical lip lines look noticeably softer and the perioral skin reads smoother and more even. The mouth area appears more rested without any change in lip volume or shape.
