Details of the Treatment:

Multiple rounds of cheek and chin filler at other clinics had reached pillow-face territory. The cheek volume sat too high, projected too far forward, and the chin had drifted out of position.

On assessment, the cheeks showed buildup with the volume sitting forward and high on the cheekbone. The chin showed product extending beyond where it should naturally sit. The combined effect was the pillow-face look. The pattern was the kind of cumulative buildup that comes from layered filler across multiple visits without anything cleared in between. A staged dissolve approach suited this presentation because the face needed to come back gradually rather than all at once.

Hyaluronidase was placed in paced amounts across the cheeks and chin. Multi-zone dissolve in advanced cases requires patience — clearing large areas in one aggressive pass produces dramatic short-term changes that the patient finds disconcerting. Pacing gives time for the patient to adjust to each stage of the return to baseline. In the after image, the cheeks read natural, the chin sits in its native position, and the face reads as the patient's own. The face returns to baseline before any new product is considered. Cheek and chin filler in combination is the highest-risk filler category for cumulative over-correction.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
