Details of the Treatment:

Ultrasound-guided dissolve was the path because blind injection had already failed elsewhere. A small lump above the under-eye bone hadn't responded to standard treatment.

On ultrasound assessment, a small encapsulated filler deposit was visible above the under-eye bone, in a position that did not match the original injection plane. The surrounding tissue was clear of additional product. The lower-eyelid skin was healthy. The pattern reflected localized drift with the body's tissue having walled off the deposit, which had blocked the previous attempt at treatment. An imaging-guided approach suited this presentation because the deposit could be targeted directly under live ultrasound.

Ultrasound was used to find the deposit in real time. Hyaluronidase was placed directly into the walled-off product under live ultrasound. Single-visit targeted treatment is possible when ultrasound replaces feel as the targeting method, since feel cannot detect product at this scale. In the after image, the lump has resolved and the under-eye contour reads as natural. Imaging-guided technique is the right match when blind injection has already failed.
