Details of the Treatment:

In oblique view, the lower face showed early laxity — softening along the jawline, a deepening nasolabial fold, and loss of definition where the cheek meets the jaw.

Before treatment, the changes read as mild-to-moderate skin laxity rather than excess fat or lost volume — the kind of gradual descent that makes the lower face look heavier and less defined with age. How a face responds to HIFU depends on the degree and type of laxity: focused ultrasound tightens existing tissue, so it does the most for early-to-moderate sagging and the least once laxity is advanced enough to need surgery. Skin quality, age, and collagen reserve all shape the result.

HIFU — here, the V-ZET HIFU platform — delivers focused ultrasound energy to the deeper support layers of the skin, creating controlled points of thermal coagulation that prompt the tissue to contract and lay down new collagen over the following weeks to months. In the after image the jawline reads more defined, the nasolabial fold is softened, and the lower face looks lifted and firmer. The change is gradual rather than immediate — most of the tightening develops over two to three months as collagen remodels — and HIFU firms and lifts existing tissue; it is not a substitute for a surgical facelift when laxity is significant.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
