Details of the Treatment:

He wanted stronger jawline definition without the obviously augmented look common in male filler. His lower-face anatomy was naturally soft; the goal was refinement, not transformation.

Lower-face assessment showed soft mandibular contour with mild reduction in cheek projection contributing to the overall soft appearance. The chin point was within anatomic range. The bone structure underlying the soft tissue was well-formed but not visibly defined. The pattern reflected genetic soft-tissue thickness rather than acquired volume loss. The plan was conservative combined placement. Cheek filler added lateral midface support. Jawline filler at the gonial angle defined the mandibular border. Total volume was below standard for masculinizing protocols.

A firmer hyaluronic acid filler designed for structural placement was used at the cheek and gonial angle. Cannula technique produced even distribution. Conservative placement in male patients produces natural masculine definition; aggressive placement produces the obviously augmented look the patient wanted to avoid. In the after image, the jawline reads as defined, the cheek projection is improved, and the overall lower-face structure is more balanced. The look reads as natural masculine refinement rather than augmentation. Subtle is harder than obvious in male facial work just as it is in female work.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
