Details of the Treatment:

Thinning at the top of the head had progressed over the past few years — most visible in overhead lighting and in photos taken from above. Minoxidil had given limited response.

On assessment, the top of the head and central part showed the typical pattern of thinning, with reduced hair thickness across the top and the side hair holding. The pattern was diffuse rather than in a defined shape, and the follicles themselves were still in place — a strong setup for a biologic treatment. PRFM suited this presentation because the follicles were still capable of responding.

Treatment used the patient's own platelet preparation, placed across the affected zones with the highest concentration in the most affected areas. In the after image, the top of the head shows visibly improved density, new fine hairs are present in the previously sparse zones, and the visible scalp from above is reduced. Density improvement happens when the existing follicles get the biologic signals to extend their growth phase. The patient's own biology drives the response.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
