Details of the Treatment:

The goal was visible density at the temples and along the front of the hairline without surgery. Both areas had thinned enough that scalp was showing through.

Hairline assessment showed recession at the bilateral temporal margins with a sparse transition zone of miniaturized hairs between the visible hairline and the scalp. Hair shafts along the frontal-temporal margin were reduced in caliber — short, fine, and poorly anchored — consistent with active follicular miniaturization rather than terminal hair loss. The pattern and distribution suggested viable follicular units responsive to growth factor signaling, with the temporal zone representing the leading edge of recession rather than established scarring alopecia.

Dr. Sabeen Munib administered exosome therapy via scalp injection targeting the temporal hairline and frontal zone, delivering concentrated extracellular vesicles to the follicular microenvironment at the recession margin. In the after image, the temporal hairline reads as denser with new finer hairs visible along the frontal margin, scalp visibility at the temporal zone is reduced, and the hairline transition appears smoother. Growth factor delivery to miniaturizing follicles at the recession margin arrests the miniaturization process and restores the follicular signaling environment — the hairline advances when the biology supports it.

Temporal Hairline Denser

Temporal Hairline Denser

New hair growth along the frontal-temporal margin has improved hairline density, with finer hairs filling in the sparse transition zone between hairline and scalp.

Scalp Visibility Reduced

Scalp Visibility Reduced

Visible scalp at the temporal zone is substantially reduced post-treatment, with improved coverage along the hairline margin creating a softer, more natural frontal transition.

Follicular Miniaturization Arrested

Follicular Miniaturization Arrested

Exosome growth factor delivery to the recession margin restores follicular signaling in miniaturizing units — arresting further thinning and supporting regrowth at the hairline edge.
