Lip Filler Before and After | Thin Lips with Perioral Fine Lines

She wanted both lip volume and the lines around her mouth addressed in one visit, not split across two treatments. Her lips had always been thin, and the lines had developed over the past several years.

On assessment, both lips were naturally thin with a soft lip border. Fine vertical lines extended up from the upper lip border. The lip body volume was reduced. The cupid's bow was preserved but soft. The pattern reflected natural lip thinness with age-related change in the skin around the mouth on top of it. A combined-zone approach suited this presentation because both concerns came from related changes.

A soft filler was placed by cannula in two placement strategies. Body volume was added to the upper and lower lip. Tiny shallow amounts placed above the upper lip border softened the vertical lines. Combined-zone placement is a more efficient approach than separate sessions for lip and mouth-area concerns. In the after image, the lip body has modest volume increase, the lip border is defined, and the vertical lines around the mouth have softened. The placement strategy follows the patient's actual complaint, not the standard treatment categories.
