Details of the Treatment:

The front view of her lips she liked. From the side, the upper lip looked flat to her.

At the oblique view, the upper lip sat set back relative to the lower lip and the lip-to-chin line showed no forward projection from the lip itself. Chin position was adequate; the lower face read as flat because the lip was not participating in the silhouette. The upper-to-lower lip ratio was within normal range on the front view but inverted in profile, with the lower lip carrying disproportionate forward volume.

Hyaluronic acid filler was placed using a cannula, with the volume biased toward the anterior upper-lip body to build sagittal projection without lateral spread. Lower-lip volume was augmented proportionally to preserve the natural 1:1.6 upper-to-lower ratio at the oblique view. In the after image, the upper lip shows clear forward projection, the lip participates appropriately in the lower-face silhouette, and the proportions sit within natural range. The oblique view is the most technically demanding angle to get right; when it reads as natural in profile, it tends to read as natural everywhere.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.

Lip Projection Improved

Lip Projection Improved

Upper lip projects more anteriorly at the oblique angle post-treatment — submucosal collagen density restored through laser stimulation has improved the lip's natural forward projection.

Natural Result, No Swelling

Natural Result, No Swelling

Result develops gradually over weeks as new collagen matures — no immediate post-treatment swelling, no augmented appearance, no recovery period required.

Commissure Area Improved

Commissure Area Improved

Oral commissure shadowing at the oblique angle appears reduced post-treatment as perioral collagen density improves alongside the primary lip body stimulus.
