Lip Filler Before & After (Side View) | Natural Projection & Shape

Her lips looked acceptable from the front but flat from the side — and the side view was the one she'd been seeing more of after a year of frequent video calls.

On side-profile assessment, both lips showed reduced projection, with the upper and lower lips sitting in a relatively flat plane. The lip border on profile was soft. The front-view lip body volume was at the lower end of normal. The cupid's bow was preserved but flat. A profile-priority approach suited this presentation because the patient's actual concern was specific to how the lips read from the side.

A soft filler was placed by cannula with side-profile-focused placement. The lip border was addressed first to define the profile edge. Body volume was placed in the front portion of the upper and lower lip rather than spread out evenly. Profile-focused placement is technically distinct from front-focused placement at the same total amount. In the after image, the side-view lip projection has visibly increased. The upper-lower ratio reads proportionate from the side. The front view shows modest volume increase consistent with the conservative amount. Side-view-driven placement is the right match when profile is the patient's actual concern.
