Details of the Treatment:

One side of her upper lip was modestly fuller than the other, and the corners of her mouth sat at slightly different levels — natural, not acquired. The asymmetry had become more visible in recent photos.

On assessment from the front, the upper lip showed mild natural asymmetry, with the right side approximately a half-millimeter fuller than the left and the corners of the mouth at slightly different heights. The lower lip was even. The lip border was preserved on both sides. The pattern was natural anatomy rather than the result of prior treatment or trauma. A one-sided approach suited this presentation because the goal was matching, not augmenting both sides.

A soft filler was placed by cannula on the left upper lip only, in conservative amounts. The right upper lip and both lower lips were left alone. Asymmetry correction is more demanding than enhancement on both sides. The goal is not adding volume — it is matching the existing volume on the opposite side. The result has to disappear into the patient's anatomy rather than enhance it. In the after image, the upper lip volume reads as even, the corners of the mouth sit at level heights, and the lip border is preserved. What is already there determines what can be added.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
