Deep, long-standing acne scarring across the cheek was the main concern in this case. The skin showed a mix of boxcar and rolling scars with visible pitting and uneven surface texture that surface treatments alone could not address.
Microneedling with PRFM was paired with Subcision because each modality addresses a different layer of scar pathology — subcision releases the fibrous tethers that pull the skin downward, while microneedling and PRFM rebuild the dermis from below. Results from this kind of combined plan continue to refine over a treatment series as collagen reorganizes.
