Acne Scar Treatment

This patient presented with moderate-to-deep acne scarring, including rolling and boxcar scars, most prominent along the mid-to-lower cheek. These types of scars often result from long-standing cystic acne and require a multi-layered correction strategy.

At Spectrum Skin Clinic, we created a customized protocol combining:

• Subcision to manually release tethered scar bands beneath the skin
• Dermal filler to restore lost volume and elevate deeper atrophic areas
• Fractional laser resurfacing (e.g., CO2 or Matrix PRO) to refine texture and stimulate collagen remodeling at the surface

In the before photo, visible depressions and uneven skin texture create shadowing and a rough appearance. In the after photo, the skin appears visibly smoother, more supple, and more evenly toned. Scars are softened, contours restored, and the overall complexion glows with renewed vitality.
