Chemical Peel Before and After | Acne Scar Texture Improvement

A layered chemical peel was the plan, not a single procedure. Acne had left textural change and pigmentation across the cheeks.

The cheek surface showed a mix of shallow rolling depressions and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The overall texture was irregular under raking light. The pattern was consistent with a history of inflammatory acne that had resolved. Dermal scarring was modest. The plan was a medium-depth chemical peel approach to address the pigment component and soften the edges of the rolling scars, with the option to add modality stacking later.

A medium-depth peel approach was performed. The endpoint was controlled exfoliation without excessive frosting. In the after image, the cheek surface reads smoother, the post-inflammatory pigment has lifted, and the rolling depressions are less prominent under direct light. Chemical peels reach part of the scar problem, not all of it. Layered modalities — peel, microneedling, and selective TCA CROSS — produce a more complete result than any single approach.
