Laser was the right tool for the depth and caliber of vessels she had — surface telangiectasia, not deeper vascular involvement.
Surface telangiectasia was distributed across the cheeks and around the nasal alae. Vessel caliber was small and superficial. Background tone was acceptable. The pattern was consistent with chronic sun exposure layered over baseline vascular fragility. The plan was laser treatment targeting the visible vessels selectively, with no surrounding tissue heating.
Laser energy was delivered in short pulses tuned to oxyhemoglobin absorption. Vessels were targeted directly, with surrounding tissue protected by appropriate spot size and pulse duration. In the after image, the visible vessels have cleared, the cheeks read more even, and the nasal area reads cleaner. Vessel-selective laser work is precision over power. The right wavelength matters more than the strongest setting.
