Lip Filler Before & After | Natural Volume & Balanced Shape

She wanted natural-looking volume that didn't change the shape of her lips, only their fullness — the proportionate full-volume version of her own lips. Years of holding off on filler over unnatural results she'd seen on others.

Bilateral assessment showed reduced lip body volume in both upper and lower lips with an attenuated vermilion border. The lip shape was within normal proportions — the cupid's bow centered, the upper-lower ratio in range, and the lateral commissures level. The pattern reflected congenital thinness rather than acquired loss. The plan was symmetric bilateral enhancement that preserved the existing shape. Vermilion border first. Body volume in proportionate distribution. No central or lateral weighting that would change the lip's existing geometry.

A soft hyaluronic acid filler was placed by cannula in symmetric passes, with the vermilion border addressed first and body volume added in proportionate aliquots. Shape-preserving placement is technically about restraint. The goal is increased volume with no change in existing geometry. This means avoiding the temptation to weight any zone differently than the patient's anatomy already does. In the after image, the lips have modest volume increase, the shape is unchanged from baseline, and the cupid's bow is more visible. The face proportions are the same. The patient's existing lip geometry was the template. Lip filler is not lip transformation — natural results come from preserving what is already there at its full volume.
