Natural Lip Filler Results – Side View Profile Enhancement

From the front, her lips looked acceptable. From the side, they looked flat. Most before-and-after results she had seen emphasized front view, leaving her uncertain about profile.

On side-profile assessment, both lips showed reduced projection, with the upper and lower lips sitting in a relatively flat plane. The lip border on profile was soft. The front-view lip body volume was at the lower end of normal. A profile-focused approach suited this presentation because the patient's actual concern was specific to how the lips read from the side.

A soft filler was placed by cannula with the placement matched to a profile improvement. The lip border was addressed first to give the projection a defined edge. Volume was placed in the front portion of the lip rather than spread out evenly, since the goal was forward projection rather than side fullness. Profile-focused placement is technically distinct from front-view placement. In the after image, the side-view lip projection has visibly increased, the upper-lower lip ratio reads proportionate from the side, and the front view shows minimal volume change. Lip filler exists in three dimensions and the planning has to match the patient's actual viewing-angle priorities.
