Marionette and Chin Filler Before & After | Combined Lower Face Refinement

She wanted both the marionettes and the chin addressed in the same visit, not as two separate plans. Each concern on its own would have been mild — together they produced visible lower-face descent.

On assessment, the chin sat slightly back from where it should have been and the marionette lines were visible at rest on both sides. The under-side of the jaw was holding. The pattern reflected the kind of combined change that comes with age — chin point change and marionette volume loss showing up together. A combined-zone approach suited this presentation because the chin position changes what the marionette lines actually need.

A firmer filler was placed at the chin point first, then a softer filler was placed along the marionette lines. The order matters — marionette filler planned with the old chin position would over-correct the lines once the chin moved forward. In the after image, the chin point reads forward, the marionette lines have softened, and the lower-face contour is balanced. Combined-zone planning produces single-visit results that match what split-visit approaches achieve over weeks.
