Marionette Lines Filler Dissolve Before & After | Softer Lifted Lower Face

Filler dissolve was the right call here, not more lifting work. The marionette area had been over-filled and the lower face had grown heavy.

Lower-face assessment showed bilateral product accumulation along the marionette anatomic plane with secondary widening of the lower face and flattening of the natural mandibular contour. The original line depth was difficult to assess under the cumulative product. The skin elasticity was age-appropriate. The pattern reflected aggressive marionette filler placed without consideration of how the volume would change the surrounding lower-face contour. The plan was complete dissolve of the existing marionette filler.

Hyaluronidase was placed in micro-aliquots along both marionette lines. Front-view assessment matters in marionette dissolve because over-filled marionettes look acceptable from the side but distort the front-facing lower-face shape. In the after image, the lower-face width has reduced. The natural mandibular contour is visible again. The marionette lines themselves remain mildly visible at age-appropriate depth. The face returns to baseline before any new product is considered. The patient declined any new marionette filler at follow-up — the original line depth was acceptable.
