PRFM Under Eye Before & After | Skin Quality and Brightness Restoration

She wanted under-eye improvement without filler — too many friends had ended up overcorrected. The under-eye showed thin, crepey skin, dullness, and the early shadow that comes with thinning.

On assessment, the lower-eyelid skin was thin, with surface fine lines, mild dullness, and an emerging shadowed appearance that came more from skin quality than from a hollow underneath. There was no significant looseness. The under-eye volume was within range. The pattern was age-related thinning of the skin rather than volume loss. PRFM suited this presentation because the right treatment for skin quality is a skin-quality treatment, not a volume one.

PRFM was prepared from the patient's own blood draw and placed in small, shallow amounts under the lower eyelid. PRFM does not add volume — patients looking for an immediate volume change often confuse it with filler. In the after image, the under-eye skin reads smoother, brighter, and more reflective. The shadowed appearance has reduced. Skin quality and volume are different problems requiring different solutions. The wrong intervention for the right complaint is the most common error in under-eye cases.
