PRFM Under Eye Before & After | Dark Circles and Texture Treatment

The under-eye darkness was pigment plus uneven texture, not volume loss. Concealer was creasing into the texture by midday, and filler had been suggested elsewhere and declined.

On assessment, both sides showed mild under-eye darkness from a combination of pigment and uneven surface. The volume was within range with no real hollowness. The pattern reflected natural pigment with early surface aging on top of it rather than acquired volume loss. PRFM suited this presentation because the right treatment for skin quality is a skin-quality treatment, not a volume one.

PRFM was prepared from the patient's own blood and placed in small, shallow amounts across the lower eyelid. The treatment tends to give the strongest response in younger patients because the regenerative response is stronger. In the after image, the under-eye texture has refined, the darkness has lightened, and the surface reflects light more evenly. The lower-face proportions are unchanged. PRFM addresses skin quality where filler addresses volume — different versions of dark circles need different approaches.
