PRFM Under Eye Before & After | Skin Quality and Fine Line Refinement

PRFM was the right tool because the under-eye lines were on the surface only — no looseness, no hollowness, no darkening. Topical retinoids had reduced surface roughness but hadn't moved the lines.

On assessment, both lower eyelids showed surface fine lines with no static depth at rest. The skin was elastic. There was no hollowness or pigment to address. The pattern was early surface thinning of the under-eye skin without any volume or pigment component. PRFM suited this presentation because the right treatment for skin quality is a skin-quality treatment, not a volume one.

PRFM was prepared from the patient's own blood draw and placed in small, shallow amounts across the lower eyelid. The depth was kept shallow because under-eye skin is thinner than other facial skin. In the after image, the surface fine lines have softened and the lower-eyelid skin reflects light more evenly. The volume and the surrounding facial proportions are unchanged. Treating skin quality with a skin-quality treatment is the framework — not every under-eye complaint is a filler indication.
