On assessment, the lower face showed mild jowling, a blurred jawline, and uneven surface texture. The neck showed crepey horizontal lines and mild banding when she spoke rather than at rest. The skin showed the cumulative effect of years of sun exposure. The pattern was age-related softening layered on top of long-term sun damage. CO2 resurfacing on the lower face and neck suited this presentation because it addresses both surface and depth concerns in the same treatment.

CO2 laser resurfacing was performed across the lower face and neck. The neck takes a gentler version of the treatment than the face because the skin there is thinner and slower to recover. Improvements continue gradually over several months as the skin renews. In the after image, the jawline definition has returned, the jowling has reduced, the crepey neck texture has smoothed, and the horizontal neck lines have softened. Surgical lift remains an option in the future. For now, non-surgical was enough.
