Lip & Chin Lift

The complaint wasn't about her lips — it was about how her lower face read in profile. The chin had pulled back, the lips had thinned, and the angle between them had softened.

On profile assessment, the lip projection was reduced and the chin sat slightly back from where it should have been, producing a lower-face outline that read soft and undefined from the side. The chin position made the lips look thinner than they actually were. The pattern was the kind of combined change that comes with age when lip volume and chin position both shift at the same time. A staged approach suited this presentation because the chin position needed to be set first, before any lip decision could be made.

Sculptra was placed at the chin point and along the under-side of the jaw to project the chin forward and re-establish the lower-face frame. Lip filler was added in a separate visit, after the chin result had settled. Sequencing matters in combined cases — lip volume planned without considering the chin position produces lips that look right alone but wrong in context. In the after image, the lower-face profile reads as balanced, the lip projection sits proportionally to the chin, and the smile arc is restored. What is already there determines what can be added.
