On assessment, the lines from the corners of the mouth were visible at rest on both sides, with mild lower-face descent. The under-side of the jaw was holding. The chin position was within range. The skin was age-appropriate in elasticity. The pattern reflected age-related volume loss along the line itself rather than general lower-face sagging. A single-zone approach suited this presentation because the patient had one specific complaint.

A soft filler was placed by cannula along the lines at the right level of the skin. Single-zone treatment is more disciplined than multi-zone packages — the patient pays for the zone she actually has a complaint in. Bundled lower-face treatments are appropriate when multiple zones contribute to the complaint, but in single-line cases they produce over-correction in zones the patient was not concerned about. In the after image, the lines have softened, the corners of the mouth read more neutral, and the lower face appears more balanced. Treating the patient's actual complaint rather than the standard menu is the right match.
