What changed

Lighter Diffuse Pigment

Background warmth and dullness have lifted and the skin reads brighter overall.

Faded Spots

Discrete brown patches across the cheeks and forehead have softened or cleared.

Maintenance Drives Results

SPF and a pigment-suppression regimen protect the result long after the peel series ends.

Details of the Treatment

Diffuse sun-driven pigmentation across the face, not purely melasma. The pattern was scattered enough that the photodamage history pointed to the right approach.

Pigment showed a diffuse distribution with concentrated patches across the upper cheeks and forehead. Background tone was warm and uneven. The pattern was consistent with cumulative sun exposure rather than a hormonal trigger. A medium-depth peel was paired with daily broad-spectrum SPF and a pigment-suppression regimen.

A medium-depth chemical peel for melasma and pigment correction was performed. In the after image, the diffuse pigmentation reads lighter, the discrete patches have faded, and the underlying tone is more uniform. Pigment results follow protocol adherence more than peel strength. The maintenance routine is the treatment.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
