Acne scarring along the chin and jawline with surrounding pigment change — both areas where makeup coverage and clinical access are difficult. She'd ruled out more aggressive options for recovery and pigment risk.
On assessment, the chin and jawline showed clustered boxcar and rolling acne scars with darker pigment around the scar bases. The texture between the scars was mildly uneven. The pattern reflected the slow remodeling that follows healed cystic acne, with secondary pigment change. The combined Secret PRO and TCA Cross approach suited this presentation because it addresses scar depth and surrounding pigment in the same treatment plan.
Secret PRO was performed across the chin and jawline. TCA Cross Peel was applied focally to the deeper boxcar scars. The patient also used a brightening topical to address the surrounding pigment change. Improvements continue gradually over several months as the skin rebuilds at depth. In the after image, the scar depth has reduced, the pigment has lightened, and the chin and jawline contour reads smoother. Combined approaches exist precisely for cases where the patient wants meaningful results without the recovery commitment of the more aggressive options.
