Filler Dissolve and Restoration Before and After | Midface Reset

She had been considering more filler to balance the look. A friend pointed out the cheek volume was the actual issue — the midface had grown top-heavy and the lower-lid-to-cheek line had blurred.

On assessment, the midface showed cheek fullness sitting high on the cheekbone with the line between the lower lid and the cheek reading as a step rather than a smooth curve. The pattern was the kind of buildup that comes from layered filler placed without anything cleared in between. A staged approach suited this presentation because the only way to plan what should come next is to see the patient's own face first.

Hyaluronidase was placed in paced amounts across the high-cheek zones until the midface returned to a flat baseline. Restoration was then done conservatively, with low-volume placement at deeper levels — supporting the structure rather than rebuilding mass. In the after image, the line between the lid and cheek reads as a smooth curve, the cheek volume is measured, and the face reads lighter. Restoration is not the same as augmentation. Less product placed in the right spot reads as more correction.
